Story
To mark the anniversary of being diagnosed with Crohn's disease and undergoing major surgery 10 years ago almost to this date, I have decided to run 10km as part of the 2017 Melbourne Marathon Festival to raise funds for Crohn's & Colitis Australia who represent the 75,000 people diagnosed in Australia!
By celebrating my run & 10 years of good health, your donations will help to provide research grants, raise awareness, offer support groups, supply a helpline, present information forums, deliver youth programs and much more. For more than three decades, Crohn’s & Colitis Australia (CCA) has been empowering the more than 100,000 Australian men, women and children living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis – collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) – to live fearlessly.
While we invest in research for a cure, CCA continues to advocate for world best treatments and health services for those living with IBD. Through our programs we offer education and support for Australia’s growing Crohn’s and colitis community and raise awareness of the disease. Importantly, our services are offered free of charge.
