Story
Spur Afrika is a locally run Kenyan charity that is registered as a not for profit community organization in Kenya. Spur Afrika aims to equip children and young adults in the Kibera area of Nairobi, Kenya through facilitation of health, education and life skills.
Our Melbourne marathon goal is to to raise $50,000+ to go towards a Spur Afrika Community Centre in Kenya. Currently, we do not have a place for the Spur sponsored children to go to for support and help, nor enough space for our 6 full-time Spur workers. This community centre will be a place where our sponsored children can visit at any time, and sufficient space for Spur's 6 full time workers to run the day-to-day Spur operations effectively. Having a Spur Community Centre is a critical part of Spur Afrika's long term sustainable future.

We EMPOWER children and young adults with skills to transform not only their own lives but the lives of their families and communities.
We EDUCATE through the provision of schooling, extra-curricular activities, and public health programs.
