Three years ago I set myself the challenge to run the Melbourne Marathon to raise much needed funds to fight MND and through the amazing generosity of family, friends and numerous people unknown to me at the time I was able to surpass the target I had set for myself.  Unfortunately as many of you are a aware this disease is a fight that my family and I have been battling first hand.

While there has been progress in the past 3 years to find a cause, more effective treatments and ultimately a cure for MND there is still a long way to go. And the reality is that everyday at least 2 Australians are diagnosed with MND and 2 sadly die from it.

This year I am again taking on the Melbourne Marathon to continue the fight. While simply completing the marathon to many would be seen as a great achievement, to me being able to help bring an end to this disease once and for is my motivation to run again.
