Hello excellent human beings!

So after a successful Melbourne half marathon in 2016 (thanks mainly to Adam Jaffrey), I have decided to go one step (well, actually a BUNCH of steps) further and sign up for the full marathon on October 15, 2017

While I am doing this partly for my own sense of achievement, I am MORE IMPORTANTLY also doing this to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis and medical research in Australia by fundraising for Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia (MSRA)'s Kiss Goodbye to MS campaign. 

Multiple Sclerosis is a devastating condition that affects around 2.3 million people worldwide and 23,000 in Australia and is the leading cause of permanent disability in young adults. Most importantly, it predominantly affects young women in the prime of their lives and will invariably lead to some form of disability. 

Not only have I seen people close to me affected by the disease, but I have also spent the last 3 years researching MS with Dr. Steven Petratos at Monash University in the hope of understanding why disability occurs and how we can prevent it. We have done some fantastic work and a lot of it could honestly not have been done without the support of the MSRA and I truly appreciate the importance of helping such organisations out with donations and fundraising. 

So please lend your support, whether it be through this page, through my Kiss Goodbye to MS fundraising page or in any other way you think is great. I have also started a team so if any of you are brave enough to run in the festival (any distance counts!) then I'd love to have you on board.
